location

Miami Shores/Northeast Miami
Surrounded by Biscayne Bay to the east, the City of Miami to the south, the Village of Biscayne Park to the north, Miami Shores is only 2.5 square miles in size.  Nestled on the east and west sides of Biscayne Blvd, from the Bay  west to NW 3 Avenue, from NE 87 Street north to NE 115 Street on the north, the city of just over 10,000 boasts a small-town feel.  Cafes, offices, banks, a post office branch, a performing arts theater/movie house, and boutiques pepper a quaint business district on NE 2 Avenue from NE 95 to 100 Street (scheduled to be spruced up with wider sidewalks and more landscaping in 2005).  Barry University and numerous churches offer educational and spiritual opportunities.  Also catering to the comfort of residents, plenty of parks, a special community center, offering all kinds of activities and four tennis courts, a private country club with an 18-hole golf course, and a new aquatic center featuring an Olympic-size pool and a water park for kids.
